New Castle About Us

Ye Olde New Castle Crier was created to fill a need that was personally experienced when our Editors moved to Historic New Castle. Like more and more Americans today we used the Internet to research the town and its many charms. We found a wealth of information…but it was hard to find…and it wasn’t in one place. Some websites were good and some weren’t so good. Some offered excellent information and some were in error or just out of date. Simply put, it took a lot of extra work to really learn about Historic New Castle…And, as veteran web designers, we know from experience that most web surfers simply won’t do that…they will just move on.

So, we started with this simple concept: If we put all the important local information that both residents and visitors want on one easy-to-find website we will provide a real community service and we will share the wonderful story of Historic New Castle with more potential visitors than ever before.

We view Ye Olde New Castle Crier as a community website. It is designed to be Historic New Castle’s Electronic Bulletin Board, a place where we can meet, share our thoughts and stay on top of what’s going on. It is the small town barbershop, the diner in rural America, a seat at the bar when everyone shows up for Happy Hour.

We look forward to serving our new town and its visitors.
